David Walsh

David is a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and enjoyed a successful military career which included tours in Hong Kong, Cyprus and Germany and culminated in command of an infantry battalion on operations before attending the Manchester Business School and entering industry.

Appointed as a marketing executive with Automated Security Holdings, latterly ADT, he rose to become the chief executive of a business to business division of Tyco International with corporate clients throughout UK.

Approached to join a privately owned company serving optical laboratories throughout the world from offices in England, USA and Russia, he subsequently lead a management buy-out backed by institutional funds and after five years as CEO with strategic, operational, financial and sales responsibility sold the company and joined the Mars Partnership.

David’s focus is on the security, defence and aviation sectors.
